Sound design is another high point in the game as various sounds from mining with your axe, to gathering resources these can be satisfying to hear through the game, especially with the added HD rumble feature on the Switch. The music fits each environment really well and sets the tone of the game. The soundtrack in this game is great, from the joyful relaxing tone of the town to the eerie melodies of the deep mine. I never found myself in desperate need of water especially after I’d upgraded my tank. Your abilities in the game use up water, but pools are spaced out nicely so can be an easy resource to fill up. So the start can be a bit tedious, to begin with, but it doesn’t take long to get the money to start upgrading the essentials.

I never really saw a mod which I didn’t think would be beneficial so I was carefully picking and choosing which mod to equip.Īt first, I found myself constantly going back up to the surface to sell items and refuel my lantern, but as I’d earn money and sell materials, I could upgrade my equipment, which allowed me to stay down longer.
